Soundscape in a cape

So here is my final, edited soundscape. I tried to capture the feeling of a party going on nearby, so I stayed in one room and recorded the sounds through each of the four walls. In editing I then layered each recording and panned either left or right to make it sound like the listener is being surrounded by the sounds.

Even Rocky had a montage...

Montage from Keiran Jones on Vimeo.

Following our recent studies on Eisenstein, Vertov & Kuleshov, it was now our turn to construct our own montage. This had to last between 90-120 seconds and we could choose whichever music we fancied using photographs or film or even both.

I decided to take photographs of my friends Tegan & Josh and tell the story of them on a day out as a couple. I wanted to try and make it funny at some points, throwing in a few marriage suggestions from Tegan and a panicked Josh. However I decided to finish the montage with a few photographs of them together, happy in each other's company. I have used the song 'Maps' by 'Yeah Yeah Yeahs' because I really like the song and I think that the lyrics go well with the montage.

I have unfortunately been having problems with the size of the video which is why it looks slightly narrow and stretched. I am working on the problem!
